Chemstar Announces New Distribution Partner
Buckley Powder Company to Distribute Starch-based Erosion Control Products
Minneapolis – (February 16, 2005) – Chemstar, the Minneapolis-based leader in starch-based polymer products for industrial applications, announced today that it has reached a master distributor agreement with Englewood, Co.-basedBuckley Powder Company. The agreement – which takes effect immediately – allows Buckley exclusive rights to distribute Chemstar’s StarTak™ and DustStar™ starch-based erosion control products in all states west of the Mississippi River.
StarTak is a line of starch based tackifiers that are gaining increasing popularity as organic tackifiers in revegetation projects throughout the western USA. Product applications of StarTak are safe for the environment, plants and animals. In addition, the product’s versatility allows Department of Transportation workers to use the tackifier agent in a variety of ways, including: hydroseeding mulch tackifier, straw/hay overspray binder or soil stabilization/dust abatement agent. DustStar is a new Chemstar product that was introduced recently to allow temporary organic dust control in construction and mining projects in environmentally sensitive areas.
